Zombie political leaders

March 11, 2014

Charles P. Pierce “zombie” again in Esquire: “What Are The Gobshites Saying These Days?“:

well-known zombie war criminal Dick Cheney. He was joined on the show by James (To Hell With The Jews) Baker, and Paul Ryan, the zombie-eyed granny starver from Wisconsin and most recent First Runner-Up in our vice-presidential pageant. Hilarity, naturally, ensued.

Pierce has refereed to Congressman Paul Ryan as “zombie-eyed granny starver” many times. Has he called Vice President Cheney as a “zombie war criminal”? Is he the zombie or the war? Both, I guess.

And in other politics across the pond, Birmingham Mail: “Our zombie PM staggers on” by Jonathan Walker:

There’s more than a year to go before the General Election. But this Government is already dead. David Cameron will remain in Downing Street but he’s no longer able to make big decisions because his Coalition with Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats has effectively come to an end.

Many in the American Right think the same for President Obama with over 2 years remaining. (Query: how different is America’s Right from the Ukrainian Right?)

Meanwhile at FoxBusiness: “Is Abenomics Working?” by Ashley Webster about Japan:

Abenomics jolted Japan’s zombie economy out of a two-decade long trance, and the economy was off and running. But while it looked good on the surface, there were giant potholes on the road to recovery.
