zombie food labels

March 5, 2014

Like a zombie, mandatory genetically engineered food labeling proposal resuscitated in California” by Michael Steel and Alejandro Bras from Morrison & Foerster LLP

The “zombie” is only in the headline. But this is an interesting reference for a few reasons. First, it’s lawyers writing about a regulatory proposal. Second it’s about new technology and symbols, both topics are of importance to the zombie community; the failure of symbols to convey complete meaning, particularly with advancing technology. Is the zombie the altered food, the meaningless labels, or the governments who try to keep up? In this headline it’s a reference to a bill idea that won’t die.
