Zombies on a Boat

July 3, 2013

Justice Roberts took opportunity during the 4th Circuit Judicial Conference to recall Lozman v. Riviera Beach; the case from this past year in which the question of whether a boat is a “vessel” for purposes of admiralty law now depends on the reasonable observer standard.

So, is that a zombie on a boat? Do we ask a reasonable observer on the dock? Or ask a bunch of fans on a booze cruise? MTVGeek: “Wizard World NYC: ‘Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus And Michael Rooker Take A Booze Cruise” by Aaron Sagers with video of “Daryl and Merle Dixon from “The Walking Dead” — or at least the actors who play them, Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker.” In the video the interviewer ask questions about whether zombies can swim and how to survive if the boat is under attack. But if they are attacking a boat, does that make make them pirates? Zombie Pirates? Or what if I just embed a link? Am I pirate now? (like Barrett Brown?) Are we all on boats in the internet sea?
