Seems like less Zombie News this week

April 17, 2013

This ZombieLaw blog attempts to link all the “zombies” in law and politics and related subjects. This week seems like a slump. Part of the problem may be that I have been particularly busy with other projects so perhaps I have missed stuff. Also the abundance of early press for Brad Pitt‘s “World War Z” and the Indian zomcom “Go Goa Gone” have dominated most of my searches.

Apparently Brad Pitt think he’s a zombie expert now. USAToday “Brad Pitt zombie ‘expert’ shows off ‘World War Z’“, by Bryan Alexander quoting Pitt:

“Four years ago, I knew nothing about zombies, …Now I’m an expert.”

Except I would disagree about how much he knew four years ago. He’s certainly managed to make a successful long career in Hollywood so he must already have a lot of intuitive understanding for mindless creatures.

Meanwhile, zombie experts are everywhere. Max Brooks recently spoke to the military about disaster prep and Matt Mogk of Zombie Research spoke to students at UConn last night: Daily Campus: “How to survive the zombie apocalypse” By Joe O’Leary.

But the vast majority of zombie experts are just blogging – and WordPress is under attack – somebody (like lots of people) forgot to change the “admin” password on their wordpress installation = so now there is a massive zombie botnet of wordpress blog servers.
