Italian Bogeyman Anti-Politics

February 23, 2013

In the Guardian: “Is Beppe Grillo the bogeyman a disaster waiting to happen, or can his activist army heal Italy?” by Tom Kington:

It is Grillo, not Berlusconi, who has surfaced as the new bogeyman for the markets, his popularity threatening gridlock in parliament or at best a weak centre-left coalition which will collapse within months. Grillo, many argue, may be a well intentioned experiment in populist “anti-politics” that ends up dragging Europe back into a debt crisis.

zombie beppe grillo

Honestly, I don’t really know much about Italian politics but “bogeyman” is related to “zombie” and since ZombieLaw has already mentioned Beppe Grillo (and also super Mario), it seemed apropos to blog this “bogeyman” story.
