Zombie Panel Discussion at San Diego Comic-Con
Aaron Sagers has written a nice recap of his experience as part of Zombie Research Society “History of Modern Zombie” discussion panel at the recent 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. Sagers personal narrative is posted on CNN GeekOut blog, entitled “‘Make them … love zombies even more’“, a reference to advice Sagers received from the legendary Bruce Campbell.
The panel was a veritable all-star gathering of zombie academics including: Matt Mogk, Bradley Voytek, Daniel Drezner, Scott Kenemore, Steven Schlozman, Max Brooks, and Aaron Sagers.
Kenemore posted a photo set from the event on his blog:

And then, Chronicle of Higher Education profiled some of the ZRS zombie neuroscientists, “Zombies on the Brain: Young Neuroscientists’ Popular Zombie Study Frightens Their Advisers Most of All” by Beth Mole
Also, video of a similar panel from last year’s con is available on YouTube
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.
I can’t help notice that ZRS doesn’t have a legal scholar amongst them … yet. And not really much social science at all. Drezner’s political science is related but still very different from my own work. I really need to finish (/start) my book…
