global collapse by 2030 … in line with “The Limits of Growth”, a doomsday report published in the early 1970s.
And I just realized that Usher’s hit song “DJ Got Us Falling in Love Again” includes the lyric:
Thank God the week is done, I feel like a zombie gone back to life.

Two week ago, ColumbisAlive.com had an article by Chris Deville “Spin city: DJs rule Columbus nightlife” about Clampdown, “the longest running monthly dance party in town” (since 2004). The article also described an episode of IFC, television show Portlandia:
a zombie movie parody is breaking out, the protagonists fleeing a mob of DJs that includes a homeless guy spinning records from his shopping cart.
The point was unmistakable: Everybody wants to be a DJ these days.
