Eschaton coins “zombietipandronnie”
Duncan Black’s “liberal/left-leaning” blog about “news and politics” entitled, Eschaton, has coined the new term “zombietipandronnie” in his March 16, 2012 post “The Other Grand Bargain”:
Maybe after a nice shared drinky with zombietipandronnie.
Black’s term is coined as cynical sarcasm about the hope of a detente on abortion arguments. He labels the anti-choice movement as anti-female autonomy, anti-sex and anti-contraception. He concludes with heavy sarcasm calling liberal bloggers stupid and crazy for even trying to explain.
For further irony, according to Wikipedia, the word eschaton “refers to the end of the present world (or final judgement) and is addressed in the study of eschatology.” – As in the study of the “world to come” – Theologically linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse but see also, futurism and Ray Kurzwiel‘s Singularity.

Meanwhile, I Google searched for “zombietipandronnie” and eschatonblog.com was the only hits (maybe this blog will be included eventually too). I wonder if Duncan Black deliberately removed the spaces to increase a Google page rank (like a google bomb, or googlewhack)? (surely, I am trying something like that by linking to his word
)
So then I also searched “tipandronnie” but for this search term Google includes many “tip and ronnie” results, although a search for the latter is clearly different. Incidentally, among the first page of results for “tipandronnie” (for me, because recall: we all live in Eli Pariser’s TED talk “online filter bubbles”) is a result from a comment on a 2010 blog that says:
8/24/10 8:13am – Social Security has been dead since Tip and Ronnie raised the retirement age. Haven’t you heard?
So, what about a search for “zombietip” – well so that includes some “zombie tip” results: (including some zombie survival tips)

and ALSO a lawyer on twitter who tried to start #zombietip on twitter
Finally, since I already linked one TED talk, and since the original Eschaton post is about “choice”, here is Sheena Iyengar on the art of choosing. Being Zombie is so much about the question of choice and free will.
